Hello to the month of February!! Welcome returning people and to our newbies. I think this year is on track to fly by faster than 2011!!

Hope this month finds you rocketing towards your personal health and fitness goals. Ive been working on doing some sort of activity every day. Although last week I got a bit lazy and didnt do much working out. I feel really strong though. Today I ran for 8 continuous minutes and that was after 30 mins on the elliptical. I have either increased time, resistance, or speed and in some cases all 3!!

I am finding with all the messing around McDougalling Ive done over the years the weight is not wanting to budge. Incentive for others who havent been at this very long to stay ON PLAN!!! Too much up and down on plan off plan back on plan. My body says 'Yeah Yeah, been here done that, give her a week, she'll be eating crap!!' Im finally feeling a difference in how my clothes fit but the scale is not budging nor is the tape measure. But my body no longer hurts and Im moving easier too and Im standing up straight again. Time and Adherence as Jeff says. I cant afford to go back to eating crap, financially or health wise.

Cant wait to see how great everyone does this month!! WE had some incredible losses last month. Keep up the great work all.

Hey Debbie,
I can totally relate to what you wrote. I signed up for the January MWL group but did not continue. I must say your enthusiasm is contagious!
I have decided to join and be on plan for February. Thanks for all that you do.

Yes, Debbie usually posts the tally around 10 am or so west coast time on Sat, so you can post either Fri. or Sat. before that time.

I'm up .8 lbs. :crybaby: I'm following the program so I expect a change soon. Maybe I'm having the same problem as Debbie. Oh well, I know this WOE is the healthiest so it's not like I'll give it up if I don't lose weight. I might as well just let go of the weight loss expectation until it happens.

On a positive note this is the first time I have ever reported (admitted) a gain. I think that's real progress for me on a personal level. I'm working on facing things head on whether I like them or not and communicating honestly with the people in a position to help me.

You are all wonderful and supportive people and I am grateful for that.

Yay to anyone who lost this week and yay to anyone who didn't and showed up to talk about it!!!

This is down 3 pounds :)

I actually went up this week to 212 and down to 206 in two days.
The weight gain was not my weekend away with friends, as I took all McDougall foods and ate none of the SAD foods at the beach houses at all! And I thank all the folks here that helped me plan my travel cooking and prep so I could pull that off.

I gained the two pounds from a great but extremely nut laden vegan lunch on the way home. Those nuts weren't apparent, but disguised as sauces and vegan cheese.

I lost that weight pronto in the HOSPITAL because of a gall bladder attack, which I am certain was prompted from the high fat content in the restaurant food. So, I have learned two lessons - I can get very sick on a high fat meal (way more than just the standard McDougall's revenge) and a water fast for two days can be a really large loss, but I don't recommend it at all!

Happy Friday. I have lost 2 lbs this week. Saw my doctor and I told her I am on a plant-based diet to lose weight and get off the all the pills. She said great and make her a believer! I see her in May and I know she'll be believing! Happy Superbowl Sunday everyone, I already have my MWL approved food planned.

I am so disappointed. I have plateaued for nearly 2 months. I really stepped up my game this week and made some positive changes, including the addition of exercise. My meals weren't perfect, but they were pretty good. I guess I'll just have to try harder next week. Tomorrow we celebrate Chinese New Year out of town and the menu doesn't appear to have much in the way of oil-free veggies.

My loss for this week is 1 pound (really only a fraction, but I round up to whole numbers) bringing my current weight to 228.

Hello All! I'm in for February but haven't weighed recently, so my starting weight will be this mornings and I'll post next Friday!
This weeks weight is 133lbs, looking to weigh around 120 when I'm done, when i'm not eating processed foods thats where my 5'2 frame likes to stay so thats my goal!

Hi, everyone! Hope you are all looking forward to a fabulous weekend! I lost the weight I had gained last week...and a little more...but I have been sick again so no idea if this weight will stay off or not. But today I am going to be happy about it :D

I lost 4 pounds this week.
