Q: What's #13 On Amazon's Low-Carb Cookbook Bestseller List?

Answer: The Starch Solution by John A McDougall MD & Mary McDougall:

Yes, that's correct--the Low-Carb cookbook list.

It's also listed #7 in low-fat cookbook bestsellers and #2057 overall. The list is updated every hour, so its rank is ever-changing. Also it is considered a cookbook and not a diet or health book, so it's not in those categories.

Will a starch-based diet gain gobs of traction to make any difference in rates of obesity, coronary stenting and bypass, diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and death for us poor humans? Not to mention US life expectancy--it was drastically down specifically in poor white high school dropouts as reported here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... tinos.html.

Then there's this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ead_module (More Americans now commit suicide than are killed in car crashes as miserable economy takes its toll). Same subject from Science Daily: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 123959.htm (Suicide Leading Cause of Injury Mortality in US).

Thanks for the update. I liked the book so much I bought 5. This will be good info to use in my blog exchanges with low carb doctor Peter Attia. I'll recommend he read the 7th best selling low carb cookbook at Amazon, which is rapidly climbing the charts.
I may be naive.
But I still believe the truth will be revealed if enough light is shined on the subject.
Right now we are dealing with massive ignorance.

Thanks for the info Scooterpie. I can't stop smiling...:)

Also, I loved seeing your starting and goal weight, it mirrors mine (start 189-goal 125), but you have a head start. Too funny!

Is that great or what? I love my kindle version and gave each of my adult children one. I just love the graphic: Image
