I'm having trouble finding a brand of methylcobalamin B12 supplement.
Could you tell me what brand you use?

I use Solgar cobalamin sublingual 1000 mcg once a week. It's gluten, soy and dairy free. Not sure if that's the same as
methylcobalamin.

Jarrow brand is a good one - you can buy it from Swanson Vitamins on-line :

I buy Jarrow and Now brands for B-12. They both have chewable tablets.

Thanks All,
I went ahead and got the one Greentea suggested. I need the kind you put under your tongue being that I suspect I can not absorb it in my stomach. (I will know by Monday) The price is very reasonable. And free shipping is great.
Thanks again!

I am looking for methylcobalamin that is USP approved. I believe this guarantees the right dosage and means that the method of manufacture has been approved. It should say on the label but so far I have had no luck.

OK I just found this:

http://www.usp.org/usp-verification-ser ... upplements

You could probably google some others. Safeway sells 100 and 500 mcg tabs of B12. If I were to buy any brand of 500 mcg would I take one per day? Right now I take one 1000 mcg tab twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.

Dr. McD has a very thorough explanation of B-12 and the type and dosage he recomments- in his new book The Starch Solution.

I use "Pure Vegan" spray 500 mcg methylcobalamin. I get it from either i-herb.com, Vitacost.com, or Amazon - whichever is cheapest. It's a spray & tastes really good.

Sam's Club "Simply Right" B-12
$17.88 400 tabs/sublingual 2500mcg methylcobalamin gluten free, no sugar/lactose.

Doesn't say "vegan"

Says on label "laboratory tested quality assured" but who knows what that means. No USP stamp

The recommendation is to take a Vitamin B12 supplement ONLY. The one in this link includes Vitamin B-6 and Folic Acid which you don't want.

Jeff once posted some suggested brands for B12 which are known to be vegan:

* Pangea VeganLife B12 Chewable Supplement 1,000 mcg tablets
* VegLife sublingual 1,000 mcg lozenges.
* Freeda Vitamins 500 mcg lozenges
* Nature's Bounty sublingual 2500 mcg
* Solgar sublingual 1,000 mcg nuggets

Target Stores in China? What city? I bought Jarrows Methyl B12 at Amazon, per Shelle-Belle's recommendation.

Being a vegan for almost 20 years I have tried every form of B-12 imaginable. The last couple of years I have been using a B-12 patch.

http://www.therawfoodworld.com/index.ph ... id=1004883

I feel that this is the best form I have ever used. I do a patch once a week. When I first started using them I could really feel an energy boost which of course probably meant that I was deficient.

I hope this helps, especially those who have trouble with absorption via their stomachs.

Oh...the web site I linked to is not the only place that sells them , but then run specials a lot so I can stock up when they are cheap. I know they are more expensive than any pill but I feel they are worth it.
