For those interested Paula Deen will be on the upcoming cover of People discussing her weight loss. Here is a preview:

Good for her ! A 30 lbs loss is terrific. And I am sure she feels better and is healthier for the loss. She looks great on the cover of People. Maybe that will encourage others to think about their weight.

I'm not a fan of her cooking, so I hope she changes her show to focus on the foods that helped her lose 30 lbs.

So instead of regular meals with her favorite trigger foods (so long, mashed potatoes), the Southern chef has developed a new-found love for Greek salads and baked fish.

It's a cryin' shame she had to bash potatoes :crybaby: and I wonder what's in the Greek salad-- feta cheese? olive oil? Probably. But 30 lbs. is a good start for someone like her... :?

well in this article: http://www.hlntv.com/article/2012/06/27 ... ?hpt=hp_t2 she says this:

“I buy more broccoli and sweet potatoes. And I’m definitely buying more fruit. I’ve started making smoothies for breakfast,” said Deen.

So seems like she's on the right path. The question is what does she put on them?

I did not know you could deep fry a smoothie.

But I'm sure someone's already thought of the bacon and cheese smoothie.

Ok, there's no doubt we're being snarky, but is it not to be expected with someone who, historically, deep fries lasagna, cheesecake, and butter balls :?: I wouldn't be surprised if she tops her broccoli with cheese sauce, her sweet potatoes with brown sugar glaze, and her fruit with nuts and whipped cream. And she could still lose weight by eating very tiny portions! :duh:

I doubt she knows how to really eat properly but at least she's doing better.

I admire anyone who makes healthy changes. She looks fantastic and is obviously adding healthy foods to her diet. I'm happy for her. I can imagine she feels incredible. She was already such a beautiful person.

I think she looks great as well, but I find it hard to believe she has lost only 30 lbs. & has gone from size 18 to size 10??? I dont know how tall she is, but some of those pictures of her she looked pretty heavy.

Maybe she gets her clothes from someone who changes the size tag before she sees the clothes?
