 Post subject: Had my yearly physical today...

...and found out my cholesterol is 118! And my ldl is 61! (hdl is 47).

Last year it wasn't bad - 159. But I'm excited that I lowered it by 41 points to 118 by diet alone and without any statin drugs to do the job! A few years ago it was 200 so that is a big improvement!

VL, way to go! I am happy for your but think you should give some credit to your ancestors! Be grateful for your good genes! :!:

It seems that some do their utmost in regard to diet and exercise and still not reduce the serum lipids as you have. :(

Wow! Fabulous news. I am curious -- what was your HDL when your cholesterol was 200? My HDL stays at about 46 regardless of my weight, diet (so far), and exercise level. I am the poster child for good HDL in terms of what "they" say you should do to have healthy HDL levels - but it stays the same. My TC hasn't dropped below 200 either....well, yet! : )
