Read this on Facebook this morning - sad...

"To all my friends, our very good friend Mario is fighting for his life with cancer right now and his sweet wife and their family are having a fundraiser for him at The park by the rec center.
Here is her post:
Saturday June 2nd at 2 o'clock we are having a huge fundraiser at the park. We will be roasting a giant pig and the rest is potluck. So spread the word, all are welcome. Anyone who loves Mario and would like to spend some time with him come on by. Bring some food and show your support. Thank you all for your prayers and kind words".

Perhaps you can bring them a copy of the Starch Solution?

These benefits are usually based on awful greasy food - stuff I wouldn't eat even when I was eating SAD.

There was an ad recently for a "Porridge for Parkinson's" breakfast, though. They like alliteration so I'm surprised there wasn't a Pig Roast for Parkinson's or Pop Tarts for Parkinson's.

This is the small-scale version of Girl Scout cookies, Alex's Lemonade Stand, and other charities that push junky foods for dollars. Yuck.
