I discovered this website and Dr. McDougall's diet today. However since 4 of april (exactly a month ago) I started my own weight loss program. I just ate lots of fruits, vegetables and few protein meals (which were one of these 3: eggs, caned tuna and shrimps) , no more of 120g of proteins a day. No red meat, chicken or dairy products) I lost 5 kg in first 10 days (from 85kg to 80kg now, my ideal weight would be 77kg).
Before 4 of april I ate junk food (like burgers, hotdogs, fried chips, icecream, etc) in excess and drank alcohol. I did 2 times of exercise a week and I was feeling having a lot of energy all the day. However despite being that energetic I only could exercise 2 times a week. If I did more I felt tired. Now on high amount of plant food, medimum carbohydrates, low proteins diet I can exercise every day and I do not feel tired while exercising or after it. (But I keep it 4 days a week to do not over workout)
So, I fixed the problem with exercising, but now I got another problem, I am now feeling somewhat lazy, kind of sleepy all the day and yawning. I checked my blood pressure and it was low (60-110), pulse was low also (i think it was 46 or so) . I tried adding some salt to the food, but it has only small effect, just like a cup of tea or coffe, only lasts an hour or a half.
Today I discovered this website and I think Dr. McDougall's program has good fundamentals. So, I am going to try to remove proteins, but I have a question: what food do you recommend me to eat more that would rise blood pressure and make me feel less lazy ? I suppose since I ate junk food in the past and that food was full of sodium , cholesterol and a lot of proteins it kept my blood pressure at normal levels and this is why I was more productive at work than I am now.
Or is this just a temporary issue due to a sharp diet change?
Will appreciate any comments or suggestions on my case.
