Because I could save money from the local wonderful, expensive health food co-op. I've always shied away from canned food but I'm being open-minded because I'm off to a good start with this WOE.

Oh creative combination of grain and vege starch!

I eat canned goods like veggies, and pumpkin too. Although frozen taste fresher and are my favorite.

I am not a purist, often rushed and hate to cook to boot, so some canned foods are a lifesaver for me. If fresh foods only - no canned or frozen - were a prerequisite of this eating plan, no way could I stick to it.
