My new 13 inch Singo Cast skillet will be on my doorstep tomorrow. Looking forward to making pancakes on it this weekend. I've made these pancakes every Saturday since this recipe came out on May 5th from PCRM

Hey, thanks for that pancake recipe. I have some besan I need to use and I would love to try wheatberries in the dry blender of the vitamix. It sounds lovely.

I've been using the Berndes non-stick pan for about nine months now. It is a very solidly built pan. It will never warp and the non-stick coating is still completely intact, no chips in it. I make pancakes and veggies burgers on it with no oil or other coating, just the dry surface of the pan. The pancakes were sticking a little bit the other day, I think because I'd used it for veggie burgers. Overall I give this pan an A grade.

I bought a new Green Earth Pan by Ozeri with the textured surface. I bought this one because it uses the ceramic coating which is hopefully safer than the regular non-stick surface used by Berndes and most other non-stick pans. I used it this morning for the first time to make pancakes and it was like a hockey puck on ice, extremely non-sticky, better than the conventional teflon type non-stick. I've heard that the ceramic coating eventually loses it slipperiness. I will report back in six months.

I cast another vote for Berndes -- love mine. Even though, I must tell you I had to close my eyes at the cash register when I paid for it -- and it stayed intact in its package for a few weeks until I could decide I could use it to cook on because it was so expensive, but I am a convert! It is great.

THis is weird, but I have had the best luck with a pan I got at Target. It was with a bunch of those "As seen on TV type things. Only cost 20 dollars, I have had it for three weeks, and it still works fine. I let it cool then soak any bit off, just rub with my hand, not much is left at any rate.
