You are the best Kittyadventures and to think you are going to do this even though I have led you to drink. You know just for information, there was this IT bloke called 'george' who actually left after speaking with me. I had rung him after my computer was 'black' and I thought I had lost my report for court. Eventually he worked out that I just hadn't turned the monitor on. So to my knowledge he would turn to drink again with the thought of speaking to me again. Am truly one of the worst in that it doesn't make sense to me or I get flustered in relation to IT. My hat off to anyone who actually understands this arena. So many many thanks- cuz Nicki of course would love it if you could make his legs longer oh and while you are at it - thin him out a bit so he can eat extra tonight.

LOL You are cracking me up..Okay he was not a very good IT guy if the first 2 questions he didn't ask you was if your computer was turned on and did you check if the monitor may have gotten turned off LOL

You make me feel much better as for years I had guilt that I made George leave his job.

:D O.K. Am going to follow what Mike talked about - no fat whatsoever in my diet. Mike says that once he elminated all fat from his diet - the weight just fell off - the transformation is unbelieveable. So am going to follow this as of today and give myself until 5 July to see if this does result in dramatic (Angelina Joli from Tombraider) results. So started today with my coffee from my coffee shop across the road, however did not order soy flat white, and instead had 'long black'. May I say that Cuz Nicki will start to believe that we are truly 'blood' related as I feel that the long black - being so strong will result in me developing chest hair. However on my way. have written out list of what to avoid - quite small a list - as all it has on it is 'fat'. However, was looking forward to writing out a list like Bridget Jones - from the Bridget Jones Diary film - when she decided to make a list of what not to eat and date (which was a long list). Mine, however is a Short list - no fat. However, this becomes quite long when one has to include all matters that have fat in them. I was truly surprised by the 'no oil' oils which Mike outlined actually have hidden oils in them. WoW. Anyway, short list 'no fat'. May actually add on who not to date (meglomaniacs, psychopaths etc) just to make Cuz Nicki smile. :D He actually likes my ex - but then he is easily swayed - offer him food and well.... This morning had porridge (made with water) and rockmellon. (not together - separate bowls). Shudder at thought of Rockmellon with Porridge, however am sure that somewhere out there someone likes that combination. Am sipping hot water and lemon until lunch - to get the water into me as really don't like water. So this helps. Cuz Niki also very impressed that his image is up for my cybermates to see. He will probably start modelling soon. He is such a cute boy, however one believes that Cuz Nicki knows how cute he is and will use his cuteness in order to get his own way  Will hopefully be posing in his little red coat on the weekend. Does tend to wiggle his butt more while wearing it. Wiggle butt = exercise if you are a Birchgrove Park dog.
Cheers - Jan. :)

:D Cuz Nicki has body image delusions. This morning while I was sweeping the backyard, Cuz Nicki decided to lay down on a plant - which is quite small. The neighbours at the back of my place were giggling as I explained to Cuz Nicki that although he believed he was anorexic and required more food than what he was receiving, he does in fact have love handles (as do I), and that really having replaced the plant 3 times, it was time for him to face reality and commit to losing weight before laying on the plant again. It must have been the veggie soup that he had for breakfast (broccoli, zucchini, beetroot, tomato and cauliflower) with his organic chicken that gave rise to his delusional state. In any event he removed himself from laying on the plant and gave a huff. He was one suspects, having a tantrum at that point. However, I cheered him up by taking him for a nice brisk walk  My friend Linda who travels from New Zealand to Sydney reguarly with her husband, was back in town this morning (after arriving late yesterday). She and I were talking about Cuz nicki and she was laughing at the fact that he has become a food critic in relation to my soup cooking ways. She did say though that for a dog who has had a major bout with cancer that he does look very well and in fact looks healthier than a lot of the dogs in the area. I again said that is because he doesn't eat any processed food, and has lots of vegetables and some fruit in his diet daily. It is amazing that people just don't get it - what you put in your body DOES affect your health. Hope you all have great days and will write again next week upon return back to work. Cheers - Jan and Cuz Nicki (who is determined to be a six pack Birchgrove dog). :D

Well I have a confession to make. I blew the diet from Wednesday arvo until Sunday morning. The truth is that I was comfort eating. My mates little girl, Georgia - aged 11 months, died and we had the funeral on Friday. I didn't realise how little I was coping until i saw what I was putting into my mouth. I could see me do it but for whatever reason didn't stop. So yesterday, got myself together and went back on the diet. I think that in the last few years I have seen so much death that I really don't cope with death at all. Weird huh. But death is a part of life. Georgia's older sister Ella (aged 3 years) keeps telling us that Georgia is smiling. I'd like to think that she is as well. Anyway, I really blew it and have gained what I lost plus another 2 pounds. So you can tell I blew it badly to gain that weight in such a small amunt of time. Anyway, back on track. but now my goal is how to deal with emotions, especially when things like Georgia's death come at you from the left angle and not use food as comfort. Cheers - Jan and Cuz Nicki.

Hey Carroll, yes it would be great to have a local McDougall group as it is things like this that knocks you for a sixer. I have been giving extra hugs to everyone as it does teach one to live each moment like it is your last. Georgia was a happy and healthy little girl and at 11 months you kind of think that if something like SIDS was going to occur it would have (even if it occurs up until around 2 years of age). In any event what Georgia can teach all of us is to appreciate every moment and to make a mental image of all the smiles and laughter that we experience and see. Cheers- Jan

Hey Kittyadventures - good to hear from you. Unfortunately had bad few days and gained all that was lost plus 2 pounds. However, I guess life really is full of lessons, and one of mine is how to deal with emotional eating. Am doing really well today and have followed diet (extreme - no oil - Mike's remedy). So back on track and hopefully weight will fall off with no oil. Really glad to hear from you.
Cheers- Jan.

Feeling good today. Stuck to strict diet (as in Mike's version which has no oil what-so-ever) and feel like I'm definetely back on track. Cuz Nicki also on reduction diet to lose the love handles he has developed. He does have an impression of himself as being anorexic, resulting in him laying on plants thinking that his light body won't kill them (plants have beenr replaced 3 times due to not surviving), however as nasty Aunty Jan points out to him this is not the case due to big love handles on his little body. He huffs now when I tell him now. Definetely a teenager
